Black River Logistics Ltd. is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. As a Truck Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our fleet of trucks, contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.

Duties

1. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on a variety of trucks to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely and efficient manner.
3. Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty components or systems, including engines, transmissions, and brakes.
4. Complete preventive maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of the trucks and minimize breakdowns.
5. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities using the company's systems.
6. Collaborate with other team members to prioritize and address urgent repair needs to minimize downtime.
7. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working in the maintenance facility.

Qualifications

1. Previous experience as a Truck Mechanic is preferred but not required.
2. Certification in Diesel Mechanics or a related field is preferred.
3. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
4. Knowledge of modern truck systems, engines, and maintenance practices.
5. Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time.
6. Excellent communication skills and a team player mentality.
