Description
The Mossey River Inn is a family run, small town diner located in Winnipegosis, Manitoba (4 hours north of Winnipeg). We operate a dinging room, beverage room, take out menu, hotel rooms and banquets. Everyone works together as a team and strong communication skills are a must. We're known for our MRI pizza, Mossey monster burger and flavourful wings. We are seeking a dedicated server to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and providing excellent customer service. As a server, you will play a role in enhancing our guests dining experience.
Duties
- Greet patrons, present menues, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages
- Serve food and beverages
- Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff
- Ensure orders are accurate before serving
- Balance cash and record sales and end of shift
- Help with dining room and kitchen cleanup at end of shift
- Prepare ice cream orders
- Answer phone calls
- Package togo orders
- Refill salt and pepper, sugar, ketchup, dressings, sauces, etc
- Roll cutlery for next shift
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience required
- Point-of-sale (POS) for ordering processing
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player
- Ability to multi task and manage your time
- Ability to handle cash transactions
