Description
Duties:
- Preparing and serving specialty coffee drinks including espressos, cappuccinos, lattes, americanos, etc.
- Taking customer orders in our café while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Must be able to operate commercial espresso machines, training can be provided.
- Maintain cleanliness of café and coffee preparation area.
- Handling transactions.
- Provide a welcoming environment for customers.
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and guidelines
- Ability to handle food preparation, including handling and serving food items
- Strong customer service skills, including active listening and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and ensure timely service
- Experience in cashiering or point-of-sale systems is a plus
- As our Barista, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of Vincenzo's Mercato. Previous kitchen experience is preferred. The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and communicate effectively with team members is also important.
