Description
Load and unload goods; Receive and relay information to central dispatch; Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials; Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo; Oversee condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment; Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption; Perform preventive maintenance; Perform emergency roadside repairs
Qualifications
Completion of secondary school; Driver's License (Class 1/A/1F); Air Brakes Endorsement Report Writing - Accident or incident reports; Trip reports; Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip); Driver logbook; Dangerous goods occurrence reports No Experience needed, on the job training will be provided Physically demanding; Handling heavy loads; Repetitive tasks; Sitting for long hours
