- Prepare estimates for materials, labor, and equipment based on analysis of blueprints and specifications.
- Conduct economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates to ensure project viability.
- Evaluate tenders, perform risk analysis, and generate forecasts to optimize project outcomes.
- Secure best bids from vendors and subcontractors through effective negotiation.
- Monitor project costs and prepare expenditure statements and forecasts regularly.
- Collaborate with engineers, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to adjust cost estimates and project changes.
- Coordinate groundworks projects and create construction progress schedules.
- Maintain up-to-date directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Develop strategies to meet work schedules and coordinate activities with subcontractors.
- Stay updated on safety codes and construction advancements.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a qualified tradesperson in groundworks construction.
- Completion of secondary school.
- Proficient in English.
