Duties

  1. Responsibilities
  2. Tasks:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Organize and manage buffets and banquets
  • Manage kitchen operations
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Manage kitchen operations
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas

Qualifications

  1. Flexible Language Requirement: French not required
  2. Schedule: Monday to Friday
  3. Education: Secondary School (preferred)
  4. Experience: Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
  5. Language: English (preferred)
  6. Licence/Certification: Food Handler Certification (preferred), Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
  7. Ability to Commute: Winnipeg, MB R3L 1Y4 (required)
  8. Ability to Relocate: Winnipeg, MB R3L 1Y4: Relocate before starting work (required)
