Job Description: COOK Company operating name: THE LOCAL GRILL & PUB Address: 288 MB – 2 HIGHWAY, TREHERNE, MB, R0G 2V0 Title of the Position: Cook No. of Positions: 2 NOC: 63200 Terms of employment: Full Time Permanent Position The Local Grill & Pub is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Cook to join our team at our elegant and lively motel and restaurant located in Treherne, MB, Canada. You will play a vital role in preparing high-quality dishes for our guests, ensuring their dining experience is exceptional. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook breakfasts and Coffee/Tea and other hot beverages as per customer request.
- Prepare and cook high quality, great tasting lunch and meals or requested dishes according to the recipes or personal judgment and experience.
- Oversee kitchen operations includes setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
- Plan and schedule Pre-preparation for the day and next day events.
- Maintain the hygienic kitchen and serving area including cleaning of workstation and serving area.
- Plan menus, explore the new recipes, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs.
- Monitor stocks and order supplies and maintain records.
- Train workers, supervise and schedule assistants.
- Work with cooking equipment and maintaining them for ready use.
- Other relevant tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Certification.
- Prior experience of minimum 2 years in related to food preparation positions.
- Basic knowledge of computer in MS office, Internet access and social media.
- Certification of Manitoba Food Handler is preferable.
