Description
We are currently seeking a reliable and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Cashier. As a Cashier at Mobil, you will be responsible for handling transactions accurately and efficiently while providing friendly and courteous service to our customers.
Duties
- Greet customers as they enter the store.
- Establish or identify prices of goods, services, or admission and tabulate total payment required using electronic cash registers or scanners.
- Weigh produce and bulk foods as needed.
- Receive and process payments by cash, cheque, credit card, or automatic debit.
- Wrap or bag merchandise for customers.
- Provide information to customers regarding products, services, and promotions.
- Calculate total payments received at the end of the work shift and reconcile with total sales.
- Verify the age of customers when selling tobacco products.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role preferred.
- Strong in attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
