Automotive Service Technician Job description L&C Auto Brothers Inc., located at 2645 Pembina Highway, Winnipeg, MB is seeking to hire 1 full-time permanent Automotive Service Technician for a day shift. $15.30 per hour for 30 hours/week Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time previous experience in automotive service. A certificate as an automotive service technician is an asset. Candidates must be reliable and able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Duties will include:
- Adjust, repair or replace parts or sections of automotive systems, using hand tools and other repair equipment
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to identify the cause of automotive issues and make effective and accurate recommendations
- Road test motor vehicles
- Inspect vehicles to ensure they meet provincial requirements for safety and emissions
- Test automotive systems using different tools to find problems
- Test and adjust repaired systems to meet the manufacturer’s performance standards
- Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance services, such as oil changes and chassis lubrication
- Maintain knowledge of current industry best practices
- Maintain paperwork and customer records
- Maintaining a clean and safe workplace
Qualifications
Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time previous experience in automotive service. A certificate as an automotive service technician is an asset.
