Effective communication across cultures is a key skill the modern workplace in Manitoba. This short session introduces participants to key concepts on how culture impacts the communication process and what can be done to overcome communicational barriers produced by cultural differences.
Objectives:
- Review basic cultural awareness principles and strategies.
- Increase awareness of the barriers to effective communication across cultures in the workplace.
- Identify how cultural knowledge can improve the communication process.
- Take away strategies to improve effective intercultural communication at work.
