- Location: 1935 Sargent Ave, Winnipeg MB
- Working Hours: 40 weekly hours
- Scheduled Shift: full-time, Monday-Sunday availability required; exact schedule varies depending upon needs (40 hours guaranteed)
- Pay rate: $20.58 per hour
- **Please note: this position is a temporary, seasonal position that is likely to end at the end of December/beginning of January**
- The Utility Courier picks up and delivers customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules and resolves problems as they arise. Job covers other absent couriers that may be on any work shift.
Duties
Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules
- Scan packages / mail as it is received, delivered, or returned to the depot at the end of the day
- Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch and customers
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections using a package scanner and electronic-Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (E-DVIR)
- When inspections fail, the Courier advises the unit manager

Qualifications
Requirements
- Valid non-probationary Driver's License
- Clean Driving Abstract (please upload a current driver's abstract with your resume)
- Must successfully pass written & road test(s)
- Must successfully pass Defensive Driving course
- Must successfully pass Courier Methods training course
- Ability to read maps; Good sense of geographical direction
- Courier methods training and/or work related experience
- Proper scan and load techniques
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
- Successfully complete a criminal record check and employment verification to qualify
- Obtain a clear Police Clearance Certificate when required
