Description
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating metal components and structures, following precise engineering drawings and blueprints. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in metalworking, capable of handling various tools and machinery to produce high-quality metal products. Number of vacancies: 3
Duties
- Material Determination: Assess and determine the materials required for each project.
- Layout & Pattern Development: Lay out reference points and create patterns for cutting and assembling metal.
- Task Planning: Plan the sequence of tasks to cut and shape metal efficiently.
- Blueprint Analysis: Study engineering drawings and blueprints to understand material requirements and project specifications.
- Assembly & Fitting: Assemble and fit plates and sections to form metal structures according to specifications.
- Joining Sections: Weld or bolt sections together to complete the fabrication of structures.
- Machinery Operation: Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines, including shears, presses, and rollers.
- Pattern & Template Construction: Construct patterns and templates for use in fabrication.
- Installation: Install fabricated components in the final product or structure.
- Material Handling: Rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Metal Fabricator is not required but is considered as an Asset.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and techniques.
- Ability to work with precision and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in a metalworking environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to handle heavy materials and equipment.
