Pharmacist
Duties
- Perform prescription order entry and electronic patient profile maintenance.
- Provide counselling on prescriptions, over and behind the counter products and medical devices.
- Check prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Acknowledge all customers approaching the Pharmacy, offer assistance promptly and in a courteous and professional manner.
- Communicate and work collaboratively with other health care providers
- Maintain all records required in accordance with legislation, standards of practice, and policy (i.e. customer records, narcotic and controlled drug records)
- Provide timely responses to customer needs and requests from other healthcare providers.
- Overview of efficient pharmacy workflow and oversight of inventory levels and ordering
- Ensure narcotic and controlled drug inventory is handled, counted and documented as required by federal and provincial regulatory bodies.
- Ensure proper preparation, packaging, distribution, and storage of all inventory Operations.
- Assist with general dispensary cleanliness and maintenance Use written and verbal methods to communicate all outstanding issues to corresponding team members.
Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing with College of Pharmacists of Manitoba
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a retail Pharmacist (preferred but not required)
- Certificate of Injection for Drug Administration
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-directed and able to work independently.
- Excellent customer service skills and a strong sense of professionalism.
