Job description Yujiro Japanese Restaurant is now hiring permanent Full Time Kitchen Chef! We are looking for a Kitchen Chef to join our culinary team and prepare delicious plates for our guests. Apply right away if you can give our restaurant a traditional Japanese touch.
Duties
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with our front staff to ensure proper cooking, considering special requests and food allergies
- Prepare appetizers, soups and salads that are close to the philosophy of Japanese cuisine
- Monitor food stock and place orders, as needed
- Maintain hygiene principles in all cooking areas and clean your space at the end of the shift
- Collaborate with kitchen management on menu items
- Prep kitchen before meal times
- Prepare menu items as ordered
- Ensure proper preparation of all food to be served
- Assist head chef with large projects when requested
- Maintain a clean kitchen at all times
- Work in a safe and efficient manner
Qualifications
Requirements
- Must Speak, Read, Understand Basic English
- Knife skills is required.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in Japanese Restaurants
- Ability to work both fast and accurately
- Team spirit
- Availability to work during business hours, including weekends and evenings
- Flexibility to take on various shifts
