Wall Grain Handling Systems, a leader in the grain handling and storage industry is looking for a highly motivated Material Handler to be part of the operations of the company.
The Material Handler / Forklift operator will perform a variety of duties aimed at fulfilling customer orders along with receiving material The incumbent must be able to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
Duties
- Ensure quality control for both incoming and outgoing materials, maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members to efficiently fulfill customer orders while ensuring timely delivery and satisfaction.
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming inventory in designated areas, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment to promote efficiency and safety.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns as needed, providing excellent service and support.
- Conduct regular inspections of lift equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Adhere to productivity, quality, and health and safety procedures, policies, and targets to meet operational goals.
- Actively participate in development activities, including training, recertification, and supporting other departments as required.
- Monitor equipment and stock levels, proactively notifying supervisors of any issues to prevent disruptions.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the yard and team.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site
- Able to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Able to work out doors for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to take instruction and work well with others in a team environment
- Occasional lifting required, up to 100 pounds
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Forklift experience an asset
- Knowledge of agricultural parts and industry considered an asset
