Duties
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections on truck and trailers.
- Check and fill all fluids as required daily, keep equipment clean. Lubricate equipment as required. Some routine maintenance may be required, may be required to change tires.
- Communicate with supervisor and other site personnel to ensure priorities are understood.
- Haul aggregate material to various locations.
- Maintain paperwork relating to time, pre-trip, logs, etc.
- Keep records of materials or products transported.
- Ensure weigh scale tickets are properly filled out and signed by the customer when possible.
- Follow safe working procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements Education, Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities: Good communication skills. Valid Class 1 license with air endorsement. Ability to operate manual transmission considered an asset but not required. Able to produce a clean commercial driver abstract. Ability to solve problems, think critically, and make decisions. Willingness to learn. Basic mechanical skills are considered an asset. Working Conditions
