Viking Motors a GM dealership is looking for a automotive painter apprentice for they bodyshop.
Duties
Responsibilities Tasks
- Estimate repair cost based on damage examination report
- Plan repair work to be performed
- Clean and maintain work space
- File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired
- Hammer out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers
- Apply primers and repaint surfaces
- Mix paint, blend and match colors
- Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
- Discuss work with supervisor
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
Qualifications
Experience - 1 year to less than 2 years Education - Secondary (high) school graduation certificate On site Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
