Duties
- Perform accurate diagnostics using electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools
- Repair and maintain engines, transmissions, powertrain, suspension, alignment, brakes, shocks & struts, and tires
- Diagnose and repair advanced automotive electrical systems, including diesel engines and ADAS components
- Complete routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake services, wheel alignments, and suspension work
- Use hand and power tools effectively for mechanical repairs, welding, and system calibrations
- Read and interpret schematics for complex mechanical and transmission repairs
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair needs and recommendations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
Qualifications
- Successful completion of secondary school
- Minimum of 2-3 years of previous dealership experience or a strong background in automotive repair preferred.
- Hands-on experience with diagnostic equipment and schematics required
- Knowledge of ADAS calibration, air brake systems, GM vehicles, automotive electrical systems, welding, and auto estimating software considered an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Drive manual transmission vehicle
- Must have Steel-toed safety boots
- Red Seal Certification is an asset but not required
