Morris Early Learning Centre is a licensed non-profit child care centre located at 1029-1035 Ash Blvd. Morris, Manitoba. We proudly serve the community of Morris and surrounding areas and operate 104 licensed spaces at our RTM site and 30 licensed school-age spaces at our Main Street location.
We are currently seeking a passionate, experienced, and community-minded Supervisor to join our leadership team, this is a Full-time/ permanent position, must be available to work Monday through Friday, between 7:15 AM – 5:00 PM, the shift may vary depending on the operational needs of the centre and programs. Reporting to the Assistant Director and Executive Director, the Supervisor plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the centre, supporting and mentoring educators, and helping to maintain the warm, inclusive, and child-centered environment to support children's development, confidence, creativity, and well-being.

Duties
Key Responsibilities
- Support educators in the development and implementation of emergent, play-based curriculum.
- Provide day-to-day coaching, mentoring, and guidance to floor educators.
- Support onboarding and training of new staff.
- Ensure programming reflects the interests, strengths, and developmental needs of children in care.
- Support daily centre operations, including staffing coverage, ratios, and scheduling needs.
- Ensure compliance with Manitoba child care licensing regulations and centre policies.
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance, incident reports, and health and safety documentation.
- Promote and uphold active supervision standards throughout the centre.
- Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Serve as a point of contact for families regarding day-to-day concerns.
- Support a welcoming, inclusive environment for all children, families, and staff.
- Respond to incidents or concerns promptly and in accordance with centre policy and licensing requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing learning opportunities.
- Maintain required certifications and professional standards related to early childhood education and supervision.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Manitoba Classified ECE II or ECE III.
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education from a recognized university or college.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check required.
Experience and Skills
- Minimum two to three years of supervisory or leadership experience in a licensed child care setting.
- Strong working knowledge of the Manitoba Early Learning and Child Care program and licensing regulations.
- Experience with emergent curriculum planning and play-based pedagogy.
- Experience coaching and mentoring educators, with a genuine interest in staff development.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities and culturally diverse environments considered an asset.
- English language proficiency required

Physical & Emotional Demands
- Actively engage with children and staff throughout the workday, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and participating in indoor and outdoor activities.
- Lift and carry children, equipment, and supplies as needed up to 40lbs.

- Respond calmly and effectively during emergency or emotionally heightened situations.
- Support staff and children through challenging or high-stress situations with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
