Banza Noodle & Tea House is a modern Asian restaurant located in downtown Winnipeg, specializing in Japanese ramen, noodle dishes, rice bowls, bubble teas, and Asian-inspired comfort food.
We are committed to providing outstanding food, genuine hospitality, and an exceptional dining experience. We are looking for friendly, energetic, and customer-focused individuals to join our Front of House team.
Duties
As a Server at Banza, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for every guest.
Your duties include:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Explain menu items and answer customer questions confidently
- Take dine-in, takeout, and delivery orders accurately
- Process payments using the POS system
- Prepare beverages, including bubble teas and other drinks
- Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately
- Check on guests and ensure excellent customer satisfaction
- Handle customer concerns professionally and communicate with management when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, beverage station, and front counter
- Refill utensils, sauces, napkins, and customer self-service stations
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and liquor service regulations
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- Minimum 6 months of restaurant or retail customer service experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Positive attitude with a friendly and professional personality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and time management skills
- Passion for Asian food and culture
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid Manitoba Smart Choices Certificate (required)
- If English is not your first language, minimum CLB 9 English proficiency is required.
- Previous experience in Asian restaurants or bubble tea shops is considered a strong asset.
