Description
The successful applicant must hold an Early Childhood Educator II (2‑year) diploma. Applicants who completed their training outside of Manitoba Canada must provide a Manitoba Early Learning and Child Care (MELCC) ECE II classification certificate. Current First Aid and CPR certification is required, along with a clear Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, Child Abuse Registry Check dated within the last six months, and a Commit to Kids certificate. We are seeking an educator with strong knowledge of child development, play‑based learning, health and safety standards, and inclusive practices. The ideal candidate will demonstrate skills in observing and documenting children’s learning, as well as planning developmentally appropriate activities. Effective communication with children, families, and co‑educators is essential. This role includes creating safe, nurturing learning environments, supporting children’s social‑emotional development, guiding behaviour in positive ways, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with licensing requirements. Personal qualities such as creativity, flexibility, cultural awareness, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for early learning will help an educator excel in this position.
