Description
-Oversee daily bakery operations to ensure all products meet COBS Bread’s standards for quality, freshness, and presentation. -Lead, train, and motivate the bakery team to provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive, efficient work environment. -Manage staff scheduling, inventory control, and compliance with food safety and workplace standards. -Support sales targets and uphold COBS Bread’s values of community involvement and sustainability.
Duties
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule bakery staff
- Train employees in baking procedures, food safety, equipment use, and customer service
- Ensure consistent production of high-quality baked goods
- Maintain inventory, monitor stock levels, and assist with ordering supplies
- Ensure bakery cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with safety regulations
- Manage workflow and assign daily tasks to staff
- Address customer concerns and provide excellent service
- Prepare basic reports on stock, sales, schedules, or wastage
Qualifications
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Additional training in baking or food services is an asset
- 1–2 years of experience in a bakery, pastry, or food production environment
- Supervisory experience is an advantage
