A&W Canada is looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Cashier to join our team! If you love working with people, have strong organizational skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want you to be the face of A&W as you deliver exceptional service to our customers. Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly attitude.
- Accurately process transactions using the cash register or digital payment systems.
- Inform customers about menu items, promotions, and specials to enhance their experience.
- Efficiently handle various payment methods, including cash, credit, debit, and mobile payments.
- Package or bag food orders carefully for customers.
- Maintain a neat and organized cashier station to ensure smooth transactions.
- Monitor and restock the cashier area to ensure all supplies are readily available.
- At the end of your shift, reconcile cash, and ensure the register balances with total sales.
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with inquiries or concerns.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when handling transactions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with customers.
- Ability to multitask and stay focused in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Reliability and punctuality are a must, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A team player who’s always willing to assist others and contribute to a positive work environment.
