The Carpenter Helper will assist in the preparation and completion of carpentry tasks, supporting skilled carpenters on job sites. Responsibilities include handling and organizing materials, assisting with the setup and cleanup of work areas, measuring, cutting, and preparing materials, and ensuring tools and equipment are in proper working order. The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to a productive work environment.
Duties
-Assist with measuring, cutting, and assembling materials. -Support layout preparation and blueprint interpretation. -Organize and handle materials, tools, and equipment on-site. -Maintain a clean and safe work environment. -Assist in project coordination and ensure tasks are completed on time. -Follow safety procedures and support carpenters with various tasks.
Qualifications
-Previous carpentry experience is beneficial, but not necessary. -Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment is preferred. -Ability to follow directions and work well within a team. -Strong physical stamina for lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in different weather conditions. -Basic math and measurement skills for assisting with cutting and assembly tasks. -Awareness of safety procedures and construction site regulations. -Eagerness to learn and assist skilled carpenters on various tasks.
