We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a series of Information Sessions specifically designed for Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) in Manitoba. The purpose of these sessions is to provide information and clarity on how the Manitoba IEN Program can assist IENs in obtaining their license and/or employment and provide information on the resources and supports available to help IENs along the licensure pathway and into the healthcare system.
Please share the following information if you know of an IEN who is looking for assistance in obtaining their license to work as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
During these sessions, IENs will learn the following: Overview of the IEN in MB Program: Understanding what this program entails and its benefits for IENs.
•Financial Assistance: Overview of available financial support, eligibility requirements, and what to budget for.
•Support Services: Discussion of the individualized support available for IENs, i.e. where to find language training, and counseling.
•Job Placement Resources: Information about job placement assistance in the healthcare sector.
•Navigating the Online Form: Clarification on the process for completing the online form on our website
