Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and customer specifications to determine the layout and installation procedures for blinds and other window coverings.
- Measure windows and spaces accurately, marking guidelines for precise installations.
- Install, repair, and service blinds, ensuring alignment, function, and customer satisfaction.
- Use hand and power tools to securely fit and adjust custom blinds, guaranteeing safety and longevity.
- Provide aftercare service by adjusting or repairing blinds when needed.
- Work closely with clients to ensure installations meet their preferences and specifications.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas during and after installations.
Qualifications
- Experience as a blind installer or in a similar installation role is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or installation guidelines
- Excellent measuring and marking skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for installation purposes.
- Physical stamina to work on ladders and lift/move equipment as needed.
- Good communication skills to interact with clients and address their needs.
