Description

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD for preparing electrical schematics, developing 3D models, and ensuring that our electrical systems, equipment, and products meet standards. Additionally, they will work to improve the overall features of the electrical systems at our manufacturing plants to enhance efficiency and ensure safety. The qualified candidate is expected to work 35 hours per week with an annual salary of $94,640 CAD.

Duties

  • Evaluate the practicality, design, functionality, and efficiency of ETAC product involved in electrical generation and distribution transmission equipment.
  • Prepare electrical design drawings, shop drawing, product layout, schematics, and detailed 3D models using AutoCAD.
  • Design and develop product electrical circuits, components, systems, and equipment, and provide technological and engineering support in the manufacturing of power products such as transformers for commercial and industrial sectors.
  • Develop and review engineering documentation, designs, shop drawings, technical documents, manuals, and data sheets.
  • Conduct research on the most advanced electrical technology and equipment, and introduce the products that align with business development needs, be able to provide 1000kv transmission line technical support.
  • Estimate project timelines and cost, then conduct reports and design specifications for the electrical system and equipment.
  • Supervise, inspect and assist the technicians in the installation, modification, testing and operation of electrical system and equipment
  • Follow and understand industry standards, CSA, UL,  for electrical systems and equipment, review the maintenance and operation reports and provide improvement advice.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in electrical engineering or related fields is required.
  • Must have 2 years national level grid power experiences.
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in electrical engineering or some related fields is required, related fields including following equipment research and development, power transformer, medium voltage switchgears, CT, PT, disconnector, breakers all other company equipments.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling software is required
  • Strong understanding of electrical theory and principles. Practical experiences in transmission line grid at voltage 66kv to 230kv.
  • Excellent communication, technical, and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively to satisfy the product leading time.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to product design and team work detail.
  • Registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba is acceptable.
