As part of our continued commitment to excellence, we are looking to hire an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team. Job Responsibilities: As an Automotive Service Technician at Viking Motors, your responsibilities will include the following: ● Diagnose and repair vehicles: Inspect and test vehicle systems and components using diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electrical problems. Repair or replace components as needed, ensuring vehicles are operating at their best. ● Perform scheduled maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire replacements, brake checks, and engine inspections to ensure customer vehicles are in safe, working order. ● Customer service: Provide clear explanations to customers about vehicle issues and work performed. Advise customers on vehicle maintenance schedules, safety checks, and repair needs. ● Repair and replace parts: Replace worn-out or broken parts including exhaust systems, brakes, engines, and transmissions. Use specialized tools and equipment to complete tasks efficiently. ● Test and adjust vehicles: After repairs, test the vehicle to ensure all systems are functioning properly and meet safety standards. Adjust systems as necessary for optimal performance. ● Work with team members: Collaborate with other service technicians, mechanics, and service advisors to provide efficient and high-quality service. Maintain communication with the service team regarding repairs and service needs. ● Keep records: Document work performed, parts used, and any other relevant information to maintain service history for each vehicle. ● Safety compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when working on vehicles and handling tools, chemicals, and materials in the workshop.

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications: ● Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience in an automotive service role, preferably with hands-on experience in diagnostics and repairs. ● Completion of secondary school is required. ● Certification as an Automotive Service Technician or Mechanic is preferred ● Strong knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic tools. ● Experience with engine repairs, transmission work, brake systems, and electrical systems. ● Ability to work with a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and specialty vehicles. ● Previous experience working in an automotive dealership or repair shop is an asset. ● Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to customers clearly. ● Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. ● Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
