Manitoba Start, in partnership with New Media Manitoba, is hosting PitchLab, an educational week-long training session for Software Developers who want to learn and practice developing their personalized pitch to introduce themselves to local employers for roles in cutting-edge Interactive Digital Media (IDM) companies in Manitoba.

This 5-day program will focus on how to build targeted resumes, develop and practice elevator pitch, learn about portfolios and how they can be useful in IT industry, learn the nuances of networking and its benefits to land your ideal job, and finally practice interview skills. The program also includes a formal presentation of the “pitch” to a panel of local employers.

Our core audience: Interactive Digital Media Developers, Game Developers, Animators. Anyone with Unity, The Unreal Engine, C++, 2/3D Animation, 3D modeling, and Animation skills are strongly encouraged to attend this Information Session to learn more.

If you have experience as Software Developers, Web Developers, Database Programmers, Cyber Security folks, System Analyst, Network Engineers, UI/UX Designers, Data Scientists, Mobile Developers, Digital Film Makers and Computer Scientists you are encouraged to attend.

Note: This course is not for IT hardware technicians, support specialists, Quality Assurance testers, or Database administrators.
